Monday-MLK holiday. We did absolutely nothing all day. I tried to get some chores done but found myself constantly on the computer or watching TV. The kids went to basketball practice.
Tuesday-Will woke up with fever and I knew he had strep throat. I took the kids to school and immediately got a doctor's appointment. We begged Dr. Jones for medicine and not a shot and he agreed. I continued working on last minute details for the wedding. We finished the stickers for the favor bags.
Wednesday-Will stayed home again today. We worked on school work that he had missed. I spent most of the day at my parent's house, sorting through wedding candy and packing things to take with us. The weather was terrible tonight and I begin having vivid memories of the tornado in Fairfield. I tried to lovingly explain to the kids why it was so important for us to be in the hallway without scaring them half to death!!
Thursday-I took the kids to school and then enjoyed a wonderful gift to the spa. I had a pedicure and manicure. Then I ran last minute errands and bought new shoes for the boys, myself and pants for the boys for rehearsal dinner. I came home and we studied for spelling test. I took the kids to Chick-Fil-A and went and picked up Mary Taylor's dress from alterations for the second time. Robby worked baseball registration. Wedding was on the brain and nobody was interested in much else!!
Friday-Robby took off today. I thought this would be a crazy day but it turned out to be really calm. He took the kids to school and got the oil changed in my car. Then, he went and picked up tuxes. I cleaned house and did last minute packing for the wedding. The kids got home from school(did great on their spelling tests and dictation) and immediately went to get a quick haircut. I got MT and myself ready for the rehearsal dinner. The boys got home and we went to rehearsal. It was a little crazy who am I kidding a lot crazy. I left there wondering how the boys would survive the actual wedding. We had a delicious dinner at Elys and then I sent the boys home. Kelly, Mary Taylor and I spent the night at the Fairview.
Saturday-Wedding Day started off quietly. Kelly slept in and I took MT downstairs for some breakfast. We began getting ready. Then, I did the most awful thing I could have done: I KNOCKED KELLY"S ENGAGEMENT RING OFF THE COUNTER AND IT HIT THE FLOOR, AND BOUNCED STRAIGHT INTO THE VENT ON THE FLOOR!!!!!. No, I'm not kidding....we tried to get it out with no luck but the owner of the hotel pried the vent off the floor, tore his hand up in the process and got the ring out. Let me tell you I have never been so upset in my life and grateful at the same time. The wedding day continued and we had a beautiful magical day. The kids were fabulous. They did so great in the wedding. Kelly and Steven were married and we went home and crashed.
Sunday-I'm ashamed but I kept the kids home today from church. They were so tired. Robby went and taught Sunday School and then came home. We spent the whole day just hanging out and watching football.
