Lately, our house has been buzzing with little creatures. We have a dog our neighbor has several cats... and we have had a little mouse who has been visiting. One morning before Thanksging I was sitting in the kitchen talking to Robby and I saw something scurry across the floor. We set a trap but nothing happened...
Well, last night I went outside to get something out of the outside refrigerator, and I noticed something sitting by the garbage can. I thought "that cat looks really scruffy". And then it looked up at me and I noticed the long tail and realized it was a POSSUM. I ran inside and slammed the door told Robby(who didn't believe me) and he ran outside with a broom. He chased it through the garage and out on the driveway.
And then this morning, guess what was in the mousetrap? You got it our little mouse.
So let's hope our creatures have disappeared, but from now on the garage goes down as soon as I get home!!!

Decorating for Christmas!!

We decorated the house for Christmas last night. The kids really had a good time. This is our 4th Christmas in this house and the tree has been in a different place every year. The kids have their own trees in their rooms, and they are really excited about that. MT has a hot pink tree in her room and she thinks that's cool.

Whose Birthday is it??
Birthday pictures
As you can see the kids had a great time at the party. I started something new this year with the boys. I've never had two cakes and sung Happy Birthday to each one. I don't know why but with twins it seems like they always get to be one instead of two. And they have really developed their own personalities. This year Matt wanted a Woody cowboy party but Will wanted Buzz. And that's what we had. The Christmas Village bakery outdid themselves again with the cakes. They were terrific!!
5th Birthday Party (Not to be outdone by the weather)
Today we celebrated Matt and Will's 5th birthday with their annual party. Their birthday is Thursday, but between Thanksgiving and the Christmas season starting, we opted for this weekend. We had a big outside cowboy party planned complete with hayride, space jump and haymaze. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Thank goodness for our wonderful church gym. We called earlier in the week and were able to reserve the gym just in case. We had a fabulous birthday party complete with tons of kids from school and friends from church. The kids had a blast!!!

My Sick little boy!!
Well, we had lots of fun in Oxford, but MS woke up Saturday morning with fever. I knew he wasn't feeling well, but I gave him Motrin and we went to the ballgame. He slept the entire time we were there even through the ballgame. He was better Sunday but not alot. So finally Sunday afternoon I took him to the doctor. He was running 103.5 and really listless. She took one listen to his chest and said "he has pneumonia". I picked myself up off the floor and prepared for the worst. They did a variety of tests and determined he could skip the hospital but we have to do breathing treatments every 4 hours. So long story short after a long night he seems to be better today. But that is the sickest I've seen him in a long time. I'm so glad we went to the doctor!!! HAPPY THANKGIVING!!!!
Busy weekend!!
Well, we finished the busy week at school looking forward to a fun weekend. We went to Oxford Saturday to cheer on our Rebels. We tried hard to beat the Tigers but no such luck. It was a fun day filled with lots of food and fellowship. And a really excited cheerleader!!! You see our 3 children are definately a part of the house divided(Rebel/Bulldog) family. MTS is all Rebel, WS goes along with his Bulldog daddy, and little MS just rides the fence(he is so accomodating). I'm a little afraid of Friday's game. We may have to watch at separate houses.

K-4 Play and Thanksgiving Feast & MT gets her "Flea Shot"(Read to understand)
We have had a really busy past couple of weeks. The boys are in the K-4 play at school, so I have been making costumes, and helping with the play. They had dress rehearsal today but we have two more performances this week. I'm not sure if we'll make it or not. They are doing so good. WS is a sheep as in "Little Bo Peep's lost sheep" and MS is a kingsmen from "Humpty Dumpty". So cute!!! I'll post pictures soon.
Also today we had our Thanksgiving feast at school. I love this holiday and it always seems to be crowded by so many other things in our lives. I have really tried to teach my children about being thankful this year. Sometimes it so hard to remember how much we have when we are so busy running from place to place. I'm looking forward to a week home with them next week.
I have to tell you about MTS funny saying yesterday. She told me yesterday that her best friend got her "FLEA SHOT" and she wanted to know when she was going to get hers. She clearly meant flu shot, but I thought that was hilarious. And she was so serious!!! She keeps me laughing.

We spent last Saturday with our daddy at work. It was family day at the Air Guard Base. They rode horses, jumped, rode the train, ate popcorn, and had a great time. Since daddy is only at the base on the weekends we don't get to go very often. In fact usually twice a year, and the kids think that daddy rides ponies everyday at work!!!! Just kidding but they really love to go out there and we're very proud of the work that he does.
