LOTS OF CATCHING UP TO DO:

I have lost my camera cord...so I'm going to SAMS today and get my pictures put on CDs...and then I will post the thousands of things that we have done lately.

We have had:
1-MTs play
2-Karate belt testing(we are now yellow belts)
3-Thanksgiving feast
4-Family day at daddy's work
5-lots of fun football!!!(GO REBELS)
6-Daddy's new cabin in the woods(This mom has mixed feelings but after I saw it yesterday I got really excited)

We are going to have a great week at home....we went to see daddy's new cabin yesterday and today I'm going to finish up Christmas shopping(minus the Toy shopping I'll do on Friday) We will have a low key day on Thursday and make the trip to Oxford Friday. Some in my house will be happy and others will be unhappy(let's just leave it at that..you never can predict the Egg Bowl..and I don't want to jinx it...but with a Bulldog husband and a Rebel for a wife and children who are mostly Rebels...it makes for exciting times!!!

And the best part is Saturday MY BOYS WILL BE SIX YEARS OLD!!!! I stand in awe as I watch the young men that they are becoming. I know how special they are and as I sat in church Sunday praising God for all my gifts I just cried and looked at them..They are what Thanksgiving is about.

THANK YOU GOD FOR MY BEAUTIFUL BOYS!!! I WILL POST MORE ON THEIR BIRTHDAY!!!

We have been really active lately..and I'm behind on my postings. I'm going to catch up right now!!

1st I'm thankful for the privilege to stay home with my children. There is no greater honor than this and I don't thank God enough for this blessing....

2nd I'm thankful for my precious family...As I picked the boys up from school today(MT had to stay late for kindertots)I sat and talked to them while we waited and just listened to every word they said and just looked in their beautiful faces and remembered how luck I am to have them

3rd I'm thankful for a mom and dad who live around the corner...I take that for granted too often

My family has been going like crazy lately. We had a wonderfuly Hoedown at school this past Friday. It was rainy on Thursday while all of the crazy parents were setting up. But, Friday was great. The kids had a great time playing games, riding horses, hayrides and picnics. Unfortunately, they all have yucky colds. I'm bribing them to take cold medicine and hoping they just keep a cold. I keep reminding them that running around without shoes and clothes on is a little crazy in this weather!!

I have been busy with school responsibilities and other things. Our principal asked if I would be interested in subbing some and I have ben busy doing that. I enjoy being their with the kids and today I got to have Matt's room. I love knowing what's going on in their rooms and getting to know the children!!

To do for the weekend:

NOTHING!!!!

It is one of those weekends where we have no plans!! No commitments, No ballgames!! Robby is gone to the deercamp. The kids and I are going to settle in with a movie tonight, sleep late and stay in our pjs tomorrow. I do have some housework but that's normal. And I'm really behind with some other work so i'll catch up.

Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!!

Today is the National Day of Rememberance for Miscarriage and Infant Loss. I read the quote below on someone else's blog today. Loss at any stage of pregnancy is a loss and should be recognized. I am remembering my sweet baby today and want anyone who has been in any stage of loss to know that I am remembering them as well.

Love,
Mary Ann

“Jacob, where do you find the strength to carry on in life?”

“Life is often heavy only because we attempt to carry it,” said Jacob. “But I do find a strength in the ashes.”

“In the ashes?” asked Mr. Gold.

“Yes,” said Jacob, with a confirmation that seemed to have traveled a great distance.

“You see, Mr. Gold, each of us is alone. Each of us is in the great darkness of our ignorance. And, each of us is on a journey.

“In the process of our journey, we must bend to build a fire for light, and warmth, and food.

“But when our fingers tear at the ground, hoping to find the coals of another’s fire, what we often find is the ashes.

“And, in those ashes, which will not give us light or warmth, there may be sadness, but there is also testimony.

“Because these ashes tell us that somebody else has been in the night, somebody else has bent to build a fire, and somebody else has carried on.

“And that can be enough, sometimes.”

WOW it's been over a week since I posted. We have been going non stop lately.

let's see...

1.We had a great photo session with Jeannelle last weekend and the kids looked so cute in their pumpkin outfits. We had a minor injury from taking pictures in the tree!! But, I think they will be too cute!!!

2.I have been spending way too much time at school for a non-paid employee(just kidding), it's a busy time of year with our school's annual hoedown and MTs play. I was asked to be the costume coordinator for the play so I'm frantically looking for patriotic costumes for these sweet children.

3.Robby has a big promotion coming up at work so I'm working on settling his nerves and reassuring him everyday. Lt. Colonel is a big step but I know he will be awesome and receive his promotion with no trouble!!!

And we are looking forward to a few weekends with nothing to do..Until next time
